The 149-room Holiday Inn on West 4th Street will get a $2.5 million to $3 million facelift from its new owner, Servico Hotels and Resorts, in the next six months.
"The only thing that will remain are the shower stalls," said the hotel's new general manager, Michael Buddemeyer. "Everything else will change, from the walls, carpet, furniture, the exterior will be modernized, the catwalk to the parking garage will be remodeled, the restaurant will have a brand new concept, the bar will be relocated downstairs, we will add a fitness center and renovate the pool area."
Buddemeyer said the changes are part of Servico's commitment to the Jamestown area. "This community supported this hotel for so long, and we feel that it's time to give something back and to be a participant in Jamestown," he said.
