William E. Christie, 69, of 31st Street died Wednesday (Oct. 29, 1997) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness.
A Niagara Falls native, Christie served in the Army from 1950 to 1956, and was stationed stateside.
Christie also worked at Moore Business Forms from 1944 to 1978, and then moved to Niagara Falls Business Forms as night superintendent. He retired from that company in 1992.
Christie enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching televised sports.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, the former Christine Galbo; a son Mark W. of La Crosse, Wis.; three brothers, James of Lewiston, John of the Town of Niagara and Robert of Lockport; a sister, Dorothy Kinkel of Yorktown Heights; and one grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, South Avenue and 11th Street, preceded by prayers at 9 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Lewiston.
