HOW CAN BODYBUILDING BE CONSIDERED HEALTHY?

I found the article "Ripple Effect" in The News on Oct. 7 very surprising. The writer made it seem as if these women were living healthy lives. I don't understand how strict dieting, having no social life and spending all of one's free time in a gym or weight room can be healthy.

What these bodybuilders do is torture their bodies in a race to test body fat and muscle tone. I think their idea of a "sport" is nothing short of a mental problem. Something is wrong when women can't look at themselves just once and say, "I look good." What these women need is help before it's too late -- not support for their sickening self-imposed masochism.
