Emilio A. Paolini Sr., 86, a retired Bethlehem Steel Corp. worker, died Oct. 14, 1997, at his home in Deltona, Fla., after a long illness.
Born in Buffalo, Paolini worked at Bethlehem Steel for more than 40 years before he retired in 1970. He left Buffalo for Deltona in 1971.
In Deltona, he was a member of the volunteer fire department, the Deltona Civic Association and the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.
He also was a member of the Empire State Club of Deltona, a charter member of the Deltona Fun and Travel Club and a founder of the Sons of Italy.
Paolini is survived by his wife, Rose; a son, Emilio Jr. of Orchard Park; a daughter, Barbara Ward of Whiteville, N.C., seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Oct. 16 in Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Deltona. Burial was in Deltona Memorial Gardens.
