2 SOUGHT IN NEWS STORE HOLDUP

Jamestown police are searching for two men who reportedly held up a downtown news store at gunpoint Tuesday.

The pair, wearing ski masks, went into US News at 107 W. Third St. just after 7 a.m.

"One of them displayed a handgun and demanded money. (The clerk) turned over an undetermined amount of cash to them, Det. Capt. Randall Present said. "Several witnesses in the area said they fled in a northerly direction, and officers checking the scene recovered a silver colored pellet gun in the area."

No one was hurt.
