William H. Tront Sr., 65, of Buffalo, owner and operator of Buffalo Speedometer Service Station, died Sunday (Oct. 26, 1997) in Veterans Hospital.
Born in Candor, , he served in the Army during the Korean War. While in Korea, he helped build an orphanage.
He opened Buffalo Speedometer Service Station at 1487 Main St. in 1957.
He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, gardening and traveling.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, the former Mary J. Sacco; a son, William Jr. of Las Vegas; a daughter, Deborah Cordova; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Louis Catholic Church, Main and Edward streets. Prayers at 8:45 in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda, will precede the Mass. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
