Thomas McCulloch, 89, former owner of Town & Country Tavern and Restaurant, died Monday (Oct. 27, 1997) in Manor Oak Nursing Home.
A longtime resident of Attica, McCulloch was a resident of Buffalo before 1948. He was born in Dundee, Scotland, and came to North America when he was 9. His family settled in St. Catharines, Ont., and later moved to the Buffalo area.
McCulloch worked at area construction sites as a member of the plasterers union for 40 years.
During World War II, he worked for Curtiss-Wright Corp.
After moving to Attica, he opened the restaurant-tavern in the 1960s and continued to operate it until the 1970s, when he retired.
His wife, Thelma Lang McCulloch, died in 1993.
Surviving are a son, Donald; a daughter, Shirley Loefke of Hamburg; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be private.
