POLICE ASKING ASSISTANCE IN TRACKING SUSPECT IN BRUTAL ASSAULT, ROBBERY

Buffalo police are seeking help this week in tracking down a suspect wanted for first-degree assault and robbery in an attack on a man with a two-by-four.

Law enforcement officials are seeking Raymone Speed, 21, described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing 127 pounds. At the time of the incident, the suspect had long braided hair, but police believe he has since cut his hair short.

He is accused of approaching a Gainesville man about 5:45 p.m. on July 3, pointing a shotgun at him and demanding his money. The victim surrendered approximately $450 in cash and was then hit in the head with a two-by-four. The victim was taken to Buffalo General Hospital and remained in a coma for several days.
