Mary P. Latta, 83, a 30-year employee of the Nabisco Shredded Wheat plant, died Sunday (Oct. 26, 1997) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Niagara Falls Mrs. Latta once lived on 22nd Street and moved to Locust Street in Lockport.
The former Mary Pierog retired in 1972 as a packer for Shredded Wheat. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church.
Her husband, Earl, died in 1955.
Survivors include a sister, Stella Zibell of New Jersey, and a brother, Alex Pierog.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 2437 Niagara St., after prayers at 9 in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St.
Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
