4 TREATED AFTER HIT-RUN ACCIDENT

A man and three children were treated in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a hit-and-run accident at Sixth Street and Walnut Avenue Monday night, fire dispatchers said.

Pete Dychtiar, 40, his daughters Stephanie, 10, and Shanna, 9, and Daryl Forsyth-Stark, 13, all of Niagara Falls, Ont., were hurt at 8:54 p.m. when their vehicle was struck by another.

Police said the driver of the other car fled on foot down a nearby alley and was not caught.

Dychtiar and Stephanie suffered head and neck pain, while the others suffered chest injuries from straining against their seat belts, ambulance crews said.

All were treated and released.
