PET PROJECT: TOBY OR NOT TOBY?

Available for adoption Monday at the Southtowns Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 1439 Pontiac Road, Angola, is Toby, a pointer mix. The 5-month-old male can be adopted for $65, which includes distemper and rabies shots, worming and neutering or spaying. Toby's owners had to move and could not take him with them.

The SPCA at 205 Ensminger Road, Town of Tonawanda, has dogs and cats available for adoption Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Niagara County SPCA Rainbow Animal Shelter, 2100 Lockport Road, Wheatfield, also has cats and dogs available for adoption from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The City Animal Shelter, 380 Oak St., has animals that need good homes. It's open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Adopt-A-Pet shelters throughout the area have cats and dogs available. Call 879-0311 for information. Second Chance Sheltering Network has cats and kittens available for adoption. Call 652-6051.

HEART (Hamburg Eden Animal Rescue Team) has dogs available for adoption by calling 648-1911 and cats by calling 823-8461.
