The Village Board has voted 4-0 to allow Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara to hold a 5K Holiday Run and Walk at 10 a.m. Dec. 6. The event will begin and end at Tin Pan Alley,
775 Cayuga St.
The third annual event is to help benefit 1,400 people who disabilities in the county, said Jill A. Bacon-Taggart, vice president of resource development and community education for Opportunities Unlimited.
About 250 runners and walkers competed in the competition last year, said Ms. Bacon-Taggart. It will cost $15 to register for the event before Dec. 1, and $17 after that date. Anyone wishing to register before Dec. 1 can do so by calling Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara's main office in Niagara Falls, or people can pick up forms at Tin Pan Alley, she said.
