INVADERS ELIMINATED WITH LOSS TO BEARS

The Lockport Invaders' season ended Saturday night with a 33-13 loss to the Baltimore Bears in the second round of the International Football League playoffs.

The Invaders (12-2), who had their nine-game winning streak snapped, scored on a 3-yard pass from Tony DeMartino to Sam Terrazzino and on a 2-yard run by Jamie Owens.

". . . We laughed, cried, yelled and sweat, but we did it as a team. . . .," Invaders coach Doug Cooper said. The Bears advance with an 11-1 record.
