HAMBURG YOUTH FOUNDATION AWARDS $9,000 IN GRANTS

The Hamburg Youth Foundation allocated $9,000 in 'mini-grants' to 16 organizations that serve youth. The grants, ranging in size from $100 to $500 went to schools in the Hamburg and Frontier districts, Scouting units, the Civil Air Patrol, Friends of Hamburg and Hilbert College's Wellness Club.

The foundation's funds come the Hamburg 24-hour Relay Race, the United Way and local businesses. All money received is returned to groups and events that serve the community said board chairman Michael Dundon.
