Anthony N. Beringer, 74, of the City of Tonawanda, died unexpectedly Friday (Oct. 24, 1997) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda.
A native of the City of Tonawanda, he had been employed by Spaulding Fibre Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1973. He also worked for Sherwood Sel-Pac in Lockport for 11 years, retiring in 1988.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Prohaska; a son, Paul A. of Amherst; two daughters, Patricia R. Beringer and Linda M. Odden, both of Pendleton; four sisters, Teresa Tomaselli of Niagara Falls and Ann Reisch, Rose Nowak and Helen, all of the City of Tonawanda; six brothers, Joseph of Kenmore, John and William, both of North Tonawanda, and Nicholas, Frank and Charles, all of the City of Tonawanda; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in John O. Roth Funeral Home, Morgan and William streets, City of Tonawanda. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.
