3 CHARGED IN ROBBERY TRY AT STORE WITH NO MONEY

Three alleged robbers picked the wrong West Side grocery store to try to rob Sunday night, authorities said.

After the three announced, "This is a stickup," they were informed by the clerk at Plymouth Grocery that he was broke. The three men then fled the store, which is situated on the 400 block of Plymouth Avenue, at 7:15 p.m. but were later apprehended by Central District police.

Rogelio Diaz, 16, of Massachusetts Avenue; Rahscheem Goforth, 20, of West Avenue; and Victor Marshall, 20, of Massachusetts, were charged with second-degree robbery by Officers Leo McGrath and Joseph Martin.
