GROUP ENTERS 20TH YEAR OF TEACHING DISABLED TO SKATE

The Skating Association for the Blind and Handicapped (SABAH) has begun its 20th year of ice skating classes for people with disabilities.

Classes are held Sundays from noon to 2 p.m. at the Audubon Ice Rink, 1615 Amherst Manor Drive, Amherst; Tuesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Lafayette Ice Rink, 156 Tacoma Ave.; Wednesdays from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. at the Niagara University Ice Rink; and Saturdays from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hockey Outlet Rink, 3385 Niagara Falls Blvd., Wheatfield.

SABAH classes will begin at the Hamburg Town Rink at a later date.

All skaters perform in an annual ice show to be held in Marine Midland Arena next March 13 and 14.

SABAH also needs volunteers for its School Aged Program at Buffalo State College and the Lafayette Ice Rink during school hours Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. To register a SABAH skater or to volunteer, call 883-9728.
