Samuel A. Turner of Lilburn, Ga., who was born in Waterport, died Wednesday (Oct. 22, 1997) in Gwinnett Medical Center, Lawrenceville, Ga. He was 87.
Turner, who attended school in Albion, worked as a bookkeeper with Swift & Co., now ConAgra, in Buffalo for 40 years.
He was a member of Unity Church of Rockdale in Conyers, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, the former Iris S. Southall; a daughter, Beverly "Bunny" Jordan of Roswell, Ga.; a son, Bruce of Lawrenceville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Saturday in Conyers.
