A federal grand jury handed up narcotics-distribution indictments Thursday against 10 people allegedly associated with a drug gang headed by Edward "Boo" Bishop, 42, of Laurel Street.
The U.S. attorney's office filed felony drug charges against Bishop, Kathleen Jackson, Mark A. Duncan, Jerry Brown, Marvin Scott, Jerry Briggs, Lena Fulton, Regina Starks, Dolores Marks and Charisse Davis, all of Buffalo.
Buffalo FBI Special Agent Paul Moskal said the charges followed a lengthy undercover investigation by the Career Criminal Task Force. Moskal said the Bishop gang is known as a busy distributor of heroin on the city's East Side.
Several of the suspects appeared late Thursday afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Leslie G. Foschio.
