Gary Woodbury of Woodbury Vineyards in Fredonia shows his winery's products to Bonnie Roesch of Buffalo at the "Taste of Western New York" Thursday at the Broadway Market. The event, organized by the Empire State Development agency to showcase the region's food industry, attracted more than 250 people. The state agency presented an award to Woodbury in the winery category. Other firms that were honored included: oldest family-owned restaurant, The Texas Hot Restaurant, Wellsville; Western New York food ambassador, Charlie the Butcher, Buffalo; produce supplier, Singer Farms, Barker; food manufacturer, Father Sam's Syrian Bread, Buffalo; beverage producer, Mayer Brothers, West Seneca; and special recognition awards, the Anchor Bar and Broadway Market, Buffalo.
