MRS. PATAKI HERE TO AID BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Libby Pataki, wife of the governor, visited Roswell Park Cancer Institute Wednesday to proclaim Breast Cancer Awareness Day in Buffalo and to acknowledge local efforts to detect and combat the disease.

She applauded the work of local Breast Health Partnerships, which provided free or low-cost breast cancer screening to nearly 1,500 women who normally would have gone without testing in Erie, Niagara and Chautauqua counties during the past year.

She also praised the work of the Western New York Breast Resource Center, an information and support center, which she helped open on a previous visit to Roswell Park in February.
