MAYOR'S HALLOWEEN PARTY IS WEDNESDAY IN LOCKPORT

The annual Mayor's Halloween Party, for children up to age 10, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Lockport YMCA, 21 East Ave., Mayor Kenneth D. Swan announced.

The event is co-sponsored by American Ref-Fuel, which, along with the Lockport Exchange Club, will provide free reflective trick-or-treat bags. Buffalo Bisons' mascot Buster Bison will be at the party, along with games and stories.

The Mayor's Substance Abuse Committee and the Niagara County Sheriff's Department will provide parents at the party a chance to observe illegal drugs, which will be encased under glass.

Those unable to attend the party may pick up reflective bags at the Youth and Recreation Department in City Hall, or at the Town of Lockport clerk's office in Town Hall, 6560 Dysinger Road.
