NIAGARA FALLS -- The United Way of Niagara needs to raise $475,670 in donations and pledges during the next two weeks if it is to meet its 1997 campaign goal of $1,340,000.

Campaign Chairman William Lessig said Tuesday that $864,330 had been raised during the first six weeks of the eight-week campaign that ends Nov. 7. That figure is 64.5 percent of the goal.

The annual fund-raising drive for the United Way helps to support 19 members agencies that provide more than 150 services in the Niagara Falls area.
