WELDING TO WIN -- Dennis Klingman of Lincoln Electric takes his welding expertise to Indianapolis every May to offer technical services at the annual Indianapolis 500 race.

His experiences there will provide the background for his talk about welding applications for competitive racing at a dinner meeting of the Niagara Section of the American Welding Society Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. in Adam's Lounge, 204 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga. CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE -- Nominations are being sought for Genesee Mercy Healthcare Foundation's 16th annual Health and Humanitarian Award, which is given to a Genesee County resident who exemplifies the volunteer spirit and who promotes the community's emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
