GETTING OVER THE BLUES

With a mix of blues and rock, homage and humor, the music industry honored blues legend B.B. King Monday night at a star-studded ceremony.

Fellow blues musicians such as Bonnie Raitt, Ruth Brown, Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker gathered to celebrate with King, 72, as he received the Blues Foundation's third annual lifetime achievement award at the Palace Theater in Hollywood.

King's own nightclub in Universal City served as the venue for the ceremony last year when King presented the award to his longtime friend and fellow bluesman Hooker.
