Edward W. Lasher Jr., 43, of North Avenue died Tuesday (Oct. 21, 1997) in his North Avenue home of what authorities said was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Lasher, a graduate of LaSalle High School, attended Niagara County Community College, Sanborn.
He was an Army veteran and motorcycle enthusiast.
Lasher was a truck driver for many years and also drove a school bus for the Niagara Falls Coach Lines. More recently, he worked as a truck driver for the Lowes Department Store in Virginia.
Survivors include his wife, the former Laura Vitale; a son, Marc; his parents, Edward W. Sr. and Elizabeth of Portsmouth, Va.; two sisters, Lynnette Billings of Kenmore and Deborah Grier; and two brothers, Arnold of Virginia Beach, Va., and James of Los Angeles.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
