Chancellor John W. Ryan of the State University of New York will address the SUNY Faculty Senate at 3:15 p.m. Friday at Buffalo State College.
The statewide group, representing faculty on SUNY's 64 campuses, is holding its 117th plenary session at the college Friday and Saturday.
Marvin J. LaHood, SUNY distinguished teaching professor of English at Buffalo State, will deliver the keynote address.
His talk, at 1:30 p.m. Friday, will be on "Fifty Years of Making a Difference -- Keeping and Renewing the Promise."
Both addresses will take place in Room 210 of Butler Library on the Elmwood Avenue campus.
Plenary meeting delegates are expected to vote on a faculty senate task force report on SUNY system-wide general education during a 9 a.m. session Saturday.
