CAMBRIA HIRED IN KING SLAYING CASE

John Reynolds of Portville has hired a new lawyer and is asking that his manslaughter conviction in the death of Kevin King be set aside.

Motions are to be argued Nov. 17 before Cattaraugus County Judge Larry M. Himelein.

Reynolds has hired Paul Cambria of Buffalo, and his Nov. 3 scheduled sentencing date has been adjourned.

Seven others who pleaded guilty recently in connection with the beating death of King on Oct. 23, 1994, are scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 3. Reynolds was the only defendant who chose to go to trial in the case.

Cambria replaces John Elmore of Buffalo, who defended Reynolds during the trial.
