ANGOLA PLANS USES FOR FEDERAL FUNDS

Angola plans on using next year's funds from the Community Development Block Grant program to help low to moderate-income families, village residents were told at a public hearing at Monday's Village Board meeting.

Mayor Michael Walters said the village is looking to work with the Town of Evans on the project, as it did with this year's money. Village officials said some of the money would be used to help finance the Rural Transit Van.

The board also:

Scheduled a public hearing for 8 p.m. Nov. 3 on the proposed local law changing the taxable status of converted
condominiums.

Approved a local law changing stop and yield signs in the village. Most of the yield signs will be replaced with stop signs, and stop signs will also be placed in areas where there currently are none.
