Four people were hurt Saturday evening in a two-car crash at Route 39 and Center Road in the Town of Sheridan.

Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies said Christopher Toy, 17, of Silver Creek ran a stop sign at 6:30 p.m. and his car ran broadside into an auto driven by JoAnne Tegler, 48, of Forestville.

Toy and his passenger, Rebecca Hamilton, 15, no address listed, were treated in Lakeshore Hospital, Irving. Ms. Tegler and her passenger, Judith Price, 50, no address listed, were treated at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk.

Toy was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign. Ms. Tegler was charged with unlicensed operation and having a suspended registration.
