A 30-year faculty member at Jamestown Community College has been honored by the John D. Hamilton Society of the JCC Foundation.
Robert Hagstrom was an English teacher at JCC from 1966 until his retirement in 1996. He was one of the creators of JCC's developmental studies program and the founder of the London Theater Seminar.
Hagstrom served as chairman of the arts and humanities, visual and performing arts, and languages and literature divisions and was director of continuing education.
The Hamilton Society was established in 1995 to recognize those whose contributions to the college exemplify those of Hamilton, who is a trustee emeritus.
