Four Cheektowaga teen-agers were arrested in West Seneca Sunday and charged with slinging blow darts and paint balls at cars on Union Road.
"They were just passing through -- on their way to watch a cheerleading contest in Orchard Park," said Patrolman Joseph Turkovich.
The boys, all students at Maryvale High school, never made it to the cheerleading contest.
Instead, they face an A misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment.
A motorist in a parking lot on Union Road flagged down Turkovich and his partner, Patrolman Donald Driscoll, and told them that his car had just been hit by a paint ball at Union Road and Seneca Street at about 5 p.m. He said he also found a blow dart in the street next to his car.
"We went up Union Road and pretty soon we caught them," Turkovich said.
Christopher Wanat, 16, of Lochland Drive, the driver; Bryon Serio, 16, of Colden Court; Michael DiGioia, 16, of Evergreen Place; and a fourth Cheektowaga youth who is 15 and will be treated as a minor.
The boys were released to their parents Sunday night.
