Mike Wilson's comments after the Sabres' 4-2 opening night loss to Dallas shows just how immature he still is. He's young. Hopefully he will grow up.
Wilson was upset because Sabres fans booed poor Dominik Hasek all night.
"The fans don't come to watch a coach walk up and down the bench all night, the come to watch the best goalie in the world," he stated. Guess again, Mike. "The best goalie in the world" doesn't quit on his team in the playoffs or take cheap shots at his coach in public.
Last year's Sabres had a chemistry that comes along once every 20 years in professional sports. Sabres management and Hasek put an abrupt end to that.
The fans of Buffalo could have been watching a Stanley Cup contender the other night instead of "the best goalie in the world." The man walking up and down the bench would have had a great deal to do with that.
