Check into Hotel Hell at Universal Studios Florida on Halloween, but don't dare complain about the bleeding walls in your room. Hotel Hell is one of three new haunted houses set up just for Halloween Horror Nights VII, through Nov. 1, along with a Festival of the Dead Parade and other entertainment to die for. Six Flags Great Adventure's annual Fright Fest celebration is being held weekends through Nov. 2 at the theme park in Jackson, N.J. Among the spine-tingling attractions are the Arena of Doom, Tales From the Cauldron, featuring a storytelling witch, and Fright Works Fireworks. Call (732) 928-2000.

For a less spooky Halloween adventure, Disney World is throwing Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party from 7 p.m. to midnight Oct. 30 and 31. Wholesome fun is on the agenda, including hayrides, trick-or-treating and pumpkin-carving demonstrations. Call (407) 824-4321.

Another Halloween option on the wholesome side is the Pumpkin Party for Kids from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26 at Black Creek Pioneer Village in northwest Toronto. Kids can come in costume and take part in traditional Halloween activities such as pumpkin carving, apple on a string, pin-the-smile-on-the-pumpkin and witch pitch. Call (416) 736-1733.
