Lorraine L. Penman of the Town of Tonawanda died Friday (Oct. 17, 1997) in Millard Fillmore Hospital. She was 70.
A native of Riverside, the former Lorraine Tyner was a 1945 graduate of Riverside High School. She was a longtime Meals on Wheels volunteer and a member of Occidental Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, and St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Penman enjoyed family activities and was an avid fan of TV quiz shows "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune." She also enjoyed crossword puzzles.
She and her husband, M. Don, were married for 47 years.
Survivors also include two daughters, Lora Phillips of the Town of Tonawanda and Tracy Garlock of Niagara Falls; a son, Scott of the Town of Tonawanda; two sisters, Ruth Meka of the Town of Tonawanda and Joyce Bridon of West Seneca; a brother, Donald Tyner of the Town of Tonawanda; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mark's Church, Ontario Street and Riverside Avenue.[rrdda]
