BECKER IS UPSET VICTIM IN SEMIFINALS

Zimbabwe's Bryon Black upset Boris Becker, 7-6 (7-3), 6-7 (6-8), 6-4, to advance to today's final of the $725,000 Marlboro Championships.

Black will meet Brazil's Gustavo Kuerten, who beat Scott Draper, 6-3, 6-4, in the semifinals.

Goran Ivanisevic retired with an injury and Thomas Muster was upset in the semifinals of the $975,000 ATP Czech indoor tournament at Ostrava. Karol Kucera of Slovakia was leading when Ivanisevic pulled out of the second set due to injury. Kucera will face Sweden's Magnus Norman, who upset the fourth-seeded Muster, 6-7 (1-7), 6-2, 7-5.

Lisa Raymond, who stunned top-seeded Martina Hingis in Friday's quarterfinals, was ousted by Nathalie Tauziat, 6-3, 7-5, in the European Indoors in Zurich, Switzerland. Lindsay Davenport beat defending champion Jana Novotna, 6-4, 6-1.
