WILLIAMSVILLE WOMAN SENTENCED IN SLAYING OF BOYFRIEND

A Williamsville woman who pleaded guilty to fatally shooting her longtime boyfriend in Lockport was sentenced Friday in Niagara County Court.

Susan L. Weber, 36, whose address was listed as 40 Sundown Trail, was sentenced to serve four to 12 years in prison by Judge Amy J. Fricano.

Weber pleaded guilty Sept. 4 to a reduced charge of second-degree manslaughter in connection with the May 8 death of Leonard Piernik, 34, at his mobile home on Jim Kelly Drive in the Village Mobile Home Park, Town of Lockport. She was indicted June 10 for criminal weapon possession and two counts of second-degree murder.

In a separate case, Christopher P. Mott, 22, of Buffalo, who was sentenced in connection with June 22 incidents in the Town of Lockport, was ordered by Judge Fricano to serve three to six years in prison. Mott, of 45 Littlefield St., was indicted June 22 for two counts each of rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.
