Sara T. Brown, the longtime owner of a local art gallery and picture framing store, died Wednesday (Oct. 15, 1997) in Aurora Park Nursing Home, South Wales.
Mrs. Brown, 86, formerly of the Jefferson Apartments, was born Sara Tower in Youngstown. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School and then received her certification in dental hygiene at a Rochester college.
She owned Progressive Arts, an upscale custom picture-framing store and art gallery, from 1947 to 1992.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Quota Club of Niagara Falls and the South End Alliance.
She enjoyed traveling.
Her husband, Aldric J., died in 1977.
Mrs. Brown is survived by a son, Thomas L. of South Wales.
Services will be held at noon today in R.L. Coleman Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston.
