THURSDAY

12:30 -- 3024 23rd St., arrest. Maria A. Holland, 26, of 23rd Street, charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

1:30 -- 1001 11th St., Trott Center, larceny. A woman who reported a purse stolen earlier in the day said a check for $350 was written on her account before she had a chance to close the account.

1:55 -- 333 Prospect St., criminal mischief. A Lancaster man said his convertible top on his car was cut and $3 in change was stolen from the ashtray.

4:06 -- 7708 Niagara Falls Blvd., Econo Lodge, theft of services. A man did not pay his $452.88 hotel bill.

4:15 -- 1961 Welch Ave., fourth-degree grand larceny. A man said his car was stolen. The car had contained a tool box and jumper cables.

5 -- 435 Tenth St., vacant lot, illegal dumping. Men were observed dumping debris in the vacant lot.

5:19 -- Portage Road and Cedar Avenue, second-degree harassment. A man said a man punched him in the head twice and then kicked him in the back twice.

6:36 -- 213 76th St., petit larceny. A man said a variety of Halloween decorations have been stolen from his yard.

7:50 -- 8 Building Center Court, harassment. A 16-year-old girl said two juveniles were calling her names and when she tried to walk away they came at her, knocked her to the ground and then hit her several times.

8:12 -- 1900 block of LaSalle Avenue, second-degree aggravated harassment. A woman said she has received six phone calls from a woman who threatened to kill her, slap her and have her children taken away.

8:55 -- 110 24th St., parking lot, criminal mischief. A River Road man said two tires on his car were slashed.

9:15 -- 219 Fourth St., criminal mischief. A Lewiston Road man said his vehicle's passenger side window was broken and a small flashlight stolen.

9:20 -- 484 19th St., second-degree burglary. A woman said her home's first floor window was entered and a television was stolen.

9:40 -- 3300 block of Ninth Street, harassment. A six-year-old boy said an unknown man slapped him while he was playing outside and told his mother he "needed to teach the boy some manners."

10:10 -- 600 block of Tronolone Place, city parking lot, criminal mischief. A Lockport Street woman said her vehicle's driver's side window was smashed.

11:25 -- Packard Road and Pine Avenue, arrest. Jack E. Stonebreaker of Pomeroy Avenue, Town of Niagara, charged with driving while intoxicated, no turn signal and aggravated unlicensed operation.

12:30 -- 3700 block of McKoon Avenue, third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. A 14-year-old girl said a man slapped her in the face following an argument, then tripped her and continued to punch and slap her. Then, while fighting, they both fell through a door window.

2:17 -- 925 Pine Ave., Nick's Sunoco, counterfeit bill. A man turned in a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for two packs of cigarettes and $5 worth of gas. Police held the man briefly and then released him. He told police he had received the bill from a man and did not know it was counterfeit.

4:07 -- 23A Jordan Gardens, arrest. Darius L. Washington, 28, of Jordan Gardens, charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree reckless endangerment.

8:15 -- 231 Third St., Holiday Inn, criminal mischief. A man said his Jeep's side window was cut overnight and a computer printer was stolen from the vehicle.

9:45 -- 165 13th St., arrest. Everett L. Downing, Jr., 32, of 13th Street, charged with third-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny.

10:20 -- 814 Willow Ave., arrest. Shalanda L. Faulks, 19, of Willow Avenue, charged with failure to pay a surcharge, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, petit larceny and resisting arrest.

11 -- 1121 Linwood Ave., forgery. A woman said she had lost her purse quite awhile ago and recently three checks were written on a checkbook that had been in that purse. The account was no longer active.

11:45 -- 520 Hyde Park Blvd., Public Safety Building, arrest. Johnnie Simmons, 50, Sixth Street, charged with failure to pay parking tickets.

12:15 -- Location of arrest not clear. Damien E. Thomas, 19, of Ninth Street, charged with petit larceny.

1 -- 2520 Highland Ave., petit larceny. A 19th Street man said two VCR tapes were stolen from his parked car while he was sleeping in it.

1 -- 1800 block of Main Street, petit larceny. A man said a rear license plate was stolen from his parked car.
