Three students have been suspended from LaSalle High School for using or trying to pass in the school cafeteria two forged $5 bills they made on school computer equipment, police said.

Principal Judith Warren said two of the boys were suspended Wednesday and a third was suspended Thursday. They are to return to school Tuesday, she said.

The boys, two 14 and one 16, apparently made copies of the front of a $5 bill using a computer scanner in a school art room, police and school
officials said.

Ms. Warren said the boys' parents were notified; police were called; the boys were read the riot act and suspended.
