No. 18 Pittsburgh scored two goals in each half Wednesday and cruised to a 4-0 victory over Canisius in a men's soccer game at the Demske Sports Complex.
Matt Gray and Jeff Dyer tallied less than a minute apart to give Pittsburgh (7-2-4) a 2-0 lead after less than 16 minutes. Spencer Barton and Reagan Bender added second-half goals for the Panthers. Jared Cochran made eight saves for the shutout.
John Ford and Bryan Staniszewski (St. Joe's) had 17 saves in goal for Canisius, with Ford making 12 of them. The Griffs are 2-14.
