MOB FIGURE GRANTED OK TO DINE BEFORE PRISON

An 80-year-old man said to be the acting underboss of the Genovese crime family is going to prison -- but not before enjoying a few meals at his favorite restaurant.

Judge Lewis Kaplan granted the request to allow Michael "Mickey Dimino" Generoso to dine four times at an undisclosed restaurant before he begins serving 21 months in a federal prison for conspiring to shake down construction contractors, the Daily News reported Wednesday.

Generoso was among 19 reputed mobsters charged last year in a federal indictment accusing the Genovese family of running a racketeering enterprise.
