Five teen-agers, including three brothers, have been arraigned on a charge of first-degree rape in connection with an attack on a 16-year-old girl at a party.
Charged Tuesday in the attack, in which the victim allegedly was raped seven times, were: Victor Gonzalez, 18; Gonzalo Gonzalez, 16; Celestino Gonzalez, 15; Ricky Hallam, 17; and Anthony J. Major, 17, all of Utica.
All five pleaded innocent to the charges, which were contained in an indictment. They are to appear next week in Oneida County Court for pretrial conferences.
If convicted as adults, the younger Gonzalez brothers could face up to 10 years in prison. The others could face up to 25 years.
Victor Gonzalez also has sexual-misconduct charges pending against him in City Court, and a grand jury also is expected to consider charges of sodomy and false imprisonment against him. Each of those cases involve different teen-age girls.
