WHY DON'T SIGNS NAME THE POLITICAL PARTY?

Now that Election Day is right around the corner, political signs are gracing the lawns of many homes in neighborhoods throughout Western New York.

I don't mind people putting up these signs, but I do have a question. Are not any of the people these signs represent proud enough of their political party to publicly name it?

Over the last few weeks, I have paid great attention to these signs.

I can find the candidates' names and sometimes -- but not always -- the office they are seeking. But for the life of me I cannot find which political party they represent.

If these candidates are not proud enough of their party to name it, why should one feel compelled to vote for them?
