Two City of Dunkirk residents suspected of street sales of marijuana remained in custody Tuesday.
A search warrant issued by City Court Judge Walter F. Drag was executed Monday afternoon at 74 E. Second St., police reported. Arrested were William Rivera, 26, of that address and Angel Santiago, 17, of South Roberts Road.
A pound of "high grade" marijuana was seized, along with scales and packaging materials, during the course of the investigation, police said. Investigators said the defendants were distributing about a pound of marijuana weekly to the Dunkirk area.
Rivera was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor count of criminal sale and a count of unlawful possession, which is a violation. Santiago was charged with felony possession.
Following arraignment, they were sent to the Chautauqua County Jail, where Rivera is held in lieu of $31,250 cash bail and Santiago in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
