NINE LANCASTER GRADUATES DESIGNATED 'AP' SCHOLARS

Lancaster Central High School officials have announced that nine of the district's 1997 graduates have been designated "AP Scholars," having scored high grades on more than three advanced placement
examinations last May.

Only about 13 percent of roughly 500,000 students who took the May advanced placement exams nationwide received the "AP Scholar" honor, the district said.
