The residents of an adult-care facility on Main Street were evacuated briefly Monday night because of a fire.
The fire at Bridgewell DePaul Adult Care Community, 2704 Main St., was reported at 6:22 p.m. and originated in a second-floor closet, according to fire dispatch. The cause remains under investigation.
There were no injuries, a dispatcher said.
The fire caused an estimated $5,000 damage to the three-story building and $3,000 damage to its contents.
