TWO CRASH VICTIMS FREED BY FIREFIGHTERS

Snyder firefighters freed two passengers from an overturned recreational vehicle Sunday after a crash at Harlem Road and Campus Lane.

Amherst police issued Douglas Lewis, 24, of Perrysburg, Ohio, a summons. Officers said he failed to stop at a stop sign at Harlem Road at about 1 p.m. while traveling west on Burroughs Drive.

His vehicle was struck broadside by a vehicle southbound on Harlem and driven by Bindu Reddi Sehgal, 33, of Lakewood, Ohio. Her husband, Ashwini Sehgal, 35, and sister, Radhika Reddi, 31, were trapped inside, and all three were treated in Erie County Medical Center. The Sehgals' 6-month-old daughter, Anisha, escaped injury.

Two firefighters were injured while extricating the victims from the vehicle.
