Goran Ivanisevic of Croatia rallied from two sets down to beat Briton Greg Rusedski, 3-6, 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-4), 6-2, 6-3, and win the $800,000 CA Trophy tournament in Vienna, Austria.
"This is unbelievable, coming back from two sets to love," Ivanisevic said.
Rusedski appeared in command until the third-set tiebreaker. The Croat then began a spirited comeback with a series of sensational forehand winners.
Magnus Gustafsson of Sweden became the oldest winner this year of a men's singles ATP title, defeating Germany's Nicolas Kiefer, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, in the Heineken Open in Singapore.
Gustafsson, 30, needed 2 hours, 2 minutes, to beat the 20-year-old German, who had slipped and injured his right shoulder, wrist and thumb Saturday when he beat Sweden's Mikael Tillstrom in the semifinals.
Martina Hingis beat Lisa Raymond, 6-4, 6-2, to win the $450,000 Porsche Cup in Filderstadt, Germany. Hingis was up, 5-4, in the first set when Raymond needed treatment for her ailing thigh.
