A head-on collision was narrowly avoided Sunday morning when a Marilla woman lost control of her car and rolled it on Route 77 in Bennington.
The Wyoming County Sheriff's Department issued a summons to Cynthia Kuskosky, 21, for failure to keep right. She and her passenger, James Lasker, 21, of West Seneca, were treated for minor injuries in Genesee Memorial Hospital, Batavia, and released.
Deputies said the driver of an oncoming vehicle, Jeffrey Lewandowski, 25, of Lockport, swerved off the highway to avoid a collision but was not injured. The accident was at about 11 a.m. near the intersection of Friedman Road. Deputies said all were wearing seat belts.
